HOSPITAL WEEKLY!! HE TRULY
SHOWED ME WHAT LOVE WAS
FOR THE FIRST TIME IN
MY LIFE!

I wrote the quote at the beginning because I feel like my life has been a lifelong struggle encapsulated by those words:
LOVE, RELIGION and TERRORISM

In Iran I often wondered why people would offer up their lives and put up with harassment and taunting if not in the end "death" just for the
possibility of "satellite TV, westernized videos, dancing, kissing or a bottle of beer.
Is this what they consider  survival or true defiance?  It is neither, it is their own culture within a culture, it is the new Iran within
the old Iran, it is the emergence of desire with death.  Of what one wants to escape vs. what one SHOULD GO TOWARDS.
IT IS THE WAR OF FANATICISM VS. IMAGINATION.
LOVE exists in Iran in many forms, as does RELIGION , but what
dominated mostly for me was TERRORISM!
I met some of the nicest people in the world in Iran and they were
IRANIANS...after all you can't hate the world for what Timothy McVeigh did, and ditto for Bin Laden.
I tell you this because I want your mind to be open when you read my book and don't
pass judgement.
Most of all understand that throughout the world terrorism exists in MANY FORMS,
but  so does GOD/ALLAH or whatever you refer
to HIM as.  And after all
you can't have the GOOD WITHOUT THE BAD!
